MeitY and IEA Seek Abstracts for Casebook on AI Impact in Energy

New Delhi: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the International Energy Agency (IEA), has announced a global call for abstracts for a casebook on the “Real-World Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Energy.”

The casebook, set to be released at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, aims to provide researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs a platform to showcase AI-driven solutions in the energy sector to a global audience of policymakers, industry leaders, and academics.

A MeitY statement said the collaboration with the IEA leverages global expertise to support the IndiaAI Mission’s vision of fostering responsible and inclusive AI adoption aligned with sustainable energy goals in the Global South.

Key Dates:

  • Last date for abstract submission: November 21, 2025
  • Drafting of chapters: December 2025
  • Casebook launch: February 19–20, 2026 at India-AI Impact Summit, New Delhi

How to Participate:
Experts, researchers, and practitioners who have implemented AI in the energy sector can submit an abstract of up to 200 words to [email protected] with the subject line: “AI in Energy – Query – [Author Name].” Shortlisted entries will be invited to contribute a full chapter of 800 words in line with the casebook’s objectives.

The International Energy Agency, based in Paris and established in 1974, is an autonomous intergovernmental organization providing analysis, policy recommendations, and data on global energy. Its 32 member and 13 association countries account for 75% of global energy demand.
