Afrobeats superstar Davido (David Adeleke) has opened up about his family’s strict approach to paternity matters, revealing that it was his billionaire father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, who insisted he take multiple DNA tests to confirm his connection to teenager Anu Adeleke.

Speaking in response to a fan praising the Adeleke family on X (formerly Twitter) for accepting all children regardless of circumstances, Davido emphasized that the repeated DNA tests were a reflection of his father’s commitment to truth, transparency, and family reputation.

He explained that in the Adeleke family, honesty and heritage are taken very seriously, and ensuring there was no doubt about lineage is a priority. “You guys don’t know my father … he’s even the one that forced me to go … Adeleke’s we don’t play about Blood on this side!” Davido stated.
