NASS Rejects Gazetted Versions of Tax Laws Amid Discrepancies

The National Assembly (NASS) has disowned the versions of four tax laws currently circulating, stating that they were not officially approved in the form in which they were gazetted.

According to a statement from the Assembly, the gazetted copies contain discrepancies that conflict with the official votes and proceedings recorded during the legislative process. NASS emphasized that only the versions ratified through proper legislative procedures hold legal validity.

The Assembly urged the public, media, and relevant stakeholders to rely only on the officially approved versions to avoid confusion or misapplication of the laws.
