NSE Launches Lekki Peninsula Branch to Bolster Engineering Development

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has expanded its presence in Lagos with the inauguration of its Lekki Peninsula Branch, the 93rd branch nationwide. The event attracted senior engineers, industry stakeholders, and corporate representatives.

Representing the NSE President, Engr. Olutosin Ogumola described the launch as a milestone in promoting professional growth and development among Nigerian engineers, particularly in the fast-growing Lekki axis.

The inauguration featured a Technical Lecture on “Domestic Gas Infrastructure Development in Nigeria: Opportunities and Challenges”, delivered by Engr. Nathaniel Oyatogun, Managing Director/CEO of ASPEN Energy, alongside gas expert Nathan Unugbua. They highlighted the economic potential of domestic gas infrastructure and addressed constraints slowing sector growth.

Engr. Abiodun Adelokun, the newly inaugurated Chairman of the Lekki Peninsula Branch, explained that the branch was created in response to the high population of engineers residing and working in the area. He emphasized that the branch will focus on professional development and community impact, providing engineers with opportunities for learning, collaboration, and innovation.

Adelokun assured that the NSE Lekki Peninsula Branch will serve as a hub for collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence, strengthening participation and skill development across the engineering community in Nigeria.
