Controversial singer Portable has sparked fresh debate on social media after publicly criticizing Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo over her recent remarks praising single mothers.

The controversy arose when Iyabo Ojo, affectionately known as “Queen Mother” by fans, commented that single mothers are thriving despite societal challenges. While many celebrated her message as empowering, Portable strongly disagreed.

In a viral online rant, Portable described Iyabo Ojo’s statement as misleading and warned that it sets a “bad example” for young women.

“Which advice are you even giving to younger women getting married? That they should have children for different men? One child for one man, three children for three different men?” he asked.

He added that married women are often in a better position than single mothers and claimed that men frequently exploit single mothers financially. According to him, such narratives encourage unstable family structures and could negatively influence children preparing for marriage.
