Prince Adebayo Launches 2nd Edition of Christmas Marathon and Health Walk in Ondo State

The second edition of the Prince Adewole Adebayo Christmas Marathon and Queen Lillian Adebayo Health Walk is set to take place on December 28, 2025, in Ondo City, Ondo State, promising a bigger and more inclusive celebration than its inaugural edition.

Organized by Prince Adewole Adebayo and Queen Lillian Adebayo, the event combines a competitive road marathon with a non-competitive health walk, promoting healthy living, youth engagement, and community bonding during the Christmas season. Free registration is open to participants of all ages.

Prince Adewole Adebayo, a philanthropist and global policy advocate, emphasized that the event is more than a race. “Our people deserve opportunities to experience wellness, unity, and the joy of shared purpose,” he said. “This marathon is a celebration of community and a reminder that good health is a gift we must protect.”

Marathon participants will compete for cash prizes, including ₦2 million for first place, ₦1 million for second, and ₦500,000 for third, with consolation prizes for runners finishing fourth to tenth.

Running alongside the marathon is the Queen Lillian Adebayo Health Walk, designed to encourage families, youth groups, fitness clubs, and senior citizens to engage in wellness activities.

Following the success of the inaugural event, this year’s edition features enhanced safety measures, improved route coordination, digital registration, and expanded cheer zones. Entertainment, refreshments, medical support, and appearances by notable personalities will round out the festive experience.

The initiative underscores the commitment of Prince Adewole Adebayo, a legal expert and youth empowerment advocate, and Queen Lillian Adebayo, a health and wellness campaigner, to fostering community engagement, fitness, and wellbeing across Ondo State.
