
The Governing Council of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has appointed Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, a renowned scholar in Soil Ecosystems, as the institution’s fifth substantive Vice Chancellor.
Ogunwole, who previously served as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Linkages, is set to assume office in February, succeeding Prof. Abayomi Fasina.
The appointment was ratified during a council meeting chaired by Pro-Chancellor Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN). Speaking to council members, Ndoma-Egba urged all stakeholders to set aside differences and support the new VC for the progress of the university.
