Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga has accused Rev. Dr. Bulus Yohanna, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State, of withholding critical information regarding the abduction of students from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Schools in Papiri, Agwara LGA.
Onanuga alleged that Yohanna’s actions are obstructing authorities from determining the true number of abducted students. He dismissed claims that 51 students had been rescued, saying those children had never been captured and some had simply returned home on their own.
He further accused the CAN chairman of instructing the school principal not to cooperate with security operatives, complicating rescue efforts. Onanuga stressed that both the government and security agencies remain uncertain about the exact number of missing students.
