President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Sokoto South) on his 60th birthday, praising his decades of service to Sokoto State and the nation.

In a statement released on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Tambuwal as a distinguished politician and lawyer whose public career has been marked by significant national responsibilities.

President Tinubu highlighted Tambuwal’s tenure as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, noting that his leadership coincided with a pivotal period in Nigeria’s democratic development. He also recognized Tambuwal’s eight-year tenure as Governor of Sokoto State (2015–2023), during which he contributed to governance and political growth in the state.

The President lauded Tambuwal’s dedication to nation-building and his continued efforts to strengthen democracy in Nigeria, emphasizing that his contributions transcend party lines.

President Tinubu wished the PDP senator many more years of good health and success, expressing hope for an even brighter political future as he marks this milestone.
