Tom Brady Speaks Out on Michigan Football Amid Former Coach Sherrone Moore’s Arrest

Tom Brady, legendary NFL quarterback and former University of Michigan star, has voiced his support for the Wolverines amid recent turmoil surrounding the football program. The controversy comes after former Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore was arrested on Dec. 10, 2025, following allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

Brady Advocates for Quarterback Bryce Underwood

After news of Moore’s arrest broke, former LSU football star Tyrann Mathieu suggested on Instagram that Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood should consider transferring to LSU. Mathieu wrote, “Come home son @BryceUnderwoo16. We are waiting & will accept you with open arms. FOREVER LSU.”

Tom Brady, who played for Michigan from 1995 to 1999, responded to Mathieu’s comment, emphasizing loyalty to the Wolverines. Brady wrote:

“He’s a Wolverine!!! And gonna get back to work and lead us next year!!! LFG.”

Brady’s comment quickly drew reactions from Michigan fans online. Some jokingly suggested Brady should take over as Michigan’s head coach, while others humorously questioned his optimism, writing, “Brady said stay in the burning house. 😂”

Sherrone Moore Arrest and Investigation

Sherrone Moore, 39, was detained by police after investigators reportedly found “credible” evidence of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. The City of Saline Police Department assisted in locating Moore, who was then turned over to the Pittsfield Township Police Department for further review.

According to the Pittsfield Township Police Department, the alleged incident occurred around 4:10 p.m., and Moore was lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail pending a review of charges by the county prosecutor. Officials confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the community, but the investigation remains active.
