Tonto Dike Reveals She Battled Addictions for 27 Years

Nollywood actress Tonto Dike has opened up about her long battle with addiction, revealing that she started smoking at the age of 13 and struggled with the habit for 27 years.

Speaking during a Sunday service at Streams of Joy International Church, Dike also shared that she faced challenges with alcohol addiction, masturbation, and prolonged anger issues.

Describing her struggles as “demonic oppression,” the actress credited her recovery to divine intervention, explaining that her life began to change as her spiritual journey deepened.

“I smoked since I was 13. God healed me from masturbation, too. I have known myself to have sexual intercourse in dreams since childhood,” she revealed.

Dike also noted that her smoking habit was influenced by her father and warned parents about exposing children to harmful behaviors.

The 40-year-old further shared that God has recently healed her from “demonic anger,” which had previously affected her relationships and personal life.

Following her testimony, Pastor Jerry Eze prayed for Dike, declaring that “the burden of sin is broken” and praising her as “a voice in her generation.”
