Nigerian singer Bigiano has stirred conversations by claiming that he wrote the hit song Dami Duro for fellow artist Davido.
In a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, the Shayo crooner revealed that he specifically wrote the hook for the iconic track.
“I wrote Dami Duro for Davido. I wrote the hook,” Bigiano stated confidently.
Discussing his hiatus from the music scene, he explained, “Sometimes, you have to take a break to be able to come back stronger. I went on a sabbatical to make my return to music massive.”
He also assured fans that he is financially stable despite his time away from the spotlight, emphasizing, “I can’t be broke.”
Released in 2011, Dami Duro catapulted Davido to stardom and has since been recognized by both local and international music enthusiasts as one of the greatest Afrobeats songs of all time.
However, Bigiano has not been officially credited as a co-writer of the song, and Davido has yet to respond to the singer’s claims.
