The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate promotion of more than 2,000 staff of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

The promotions followed examinations conducted from November 25 to 29, 2025, covering 165 job cadres.

Emeka Ezeh, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, described the move as a testament to the FCT Minister’s commitment to staff welfare and career progression. He assured that future promotion examinations will be conducted promptly.

Ezeh encouraged civil servants to prepare diligently for the 2025 and 2026 promotion exercises, emphasizing that only hardworking and committed employees would benefit.

He also highlighted that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will continue to be used for promotion exams, reinforcing the digital platform recently introduced and approved by Minister Wike.
