
Abdulfattah Oyedele, a young man from Ikotun, Lagos, has been declared missing by his family after he left home on January 3, 2026, and failed to return. His disappearance has raised serious concerns about his safety and whereabouts.
According to sources close to the family, Abdulfattah left his home in Ikotun, a densely populated area of Lagos, for Ikeja, where he was expected to buy goods. However, since leaving, he has not been seen or heard from, and his family is desperately trying to trace his movements.
“He left on January 3 to buy goods in Ikeja, but he never made it back home,” a family member told SaharaReporters.
Since his disappearance, the family has made numerous efforts to contact Abdulfattah and trace his movements, but all attempts have been unsuccessful. This prolonged silence has caused increasing anxiety, prompting the family to involve the authorities.
Police Involvement and Search Efforts
The Lagos State Police Command has been informed of Abdulfattah’s disappearance and is actively working to locate him. A family source confirmed:
“We have informed the police, and we are hopeful they will find him soon. The police have assured us they are working on it.”
In addition to involving the police, the family has launched a public appeal for help, circulating a missing person alert across social media platforms. The alert provides Abdulfattah’s full name, his last known location, and contact details for anyone who may have information on his whereabouts.
The missing person notice reads:
“Please help us find Oyedele Abdulfattah Olatunbosun. He was last seen at Governor Road, Ikotun, Lagos. If you have seen him or have any useful information that can help locate him, please contact any of the numbers below immediately.”
