Adamawa State University to Graduate 9,225, Celebrates 42 First-Class Students

Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, is set to formally graduate a total of 9,225 students during its combined convocation ceremony on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Augustine Clement, announced this at a pre-convocation press briefing on Friday. The graduating class comprises 8,871 undergraduates, 339 postgraduates, and 15 diploma students.

A notable highlight is the 42 students who graduated with First-Class honors. The breakdown of the undergraduate degrees shows 1,734 students achieved Second Class Upper division, 5,252 graduated with Second Class Lower, and 1,842 earned a Third Class degree. At the postgraduate level, 22 students will be awarded PhDs and 100 will receive Master’s degrees.

Professor Clement also announced that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved seven new academic programs for the university, including Cyber Security, Information Systems, and Journalism & Media Studies.
