Bengaluru Doctor’s Father Donates ₹3-Crore House to ISKCON After Daughter’s Murder

Six months after Bengaluru dermatologist Dr Kruthika Reddy’s sudden death was deemed natural, forensic tests revealed she had been administered Propofol, a surgical anaesthetic — leading to the arrest of her husband, Dr Mahendra Reddy, a general surgeon.

Police allege Mahendra used his medical expertise to kill Kruthika under the guise of treating gastritis, injecting her at home in April. Despite her distress, he failed to provide CPR when she was found unresponsive. Forensic reports later confirmed a fatal dose of Propofol.

Kruthika’s father, K. Muni Reddy, has since donated her ₹3-crore home in Ayyappa Layout to ISKCON, saying, “I built that house to see my daughter happy. Now, I want her memory to live on through faith.”

Mahendra has been booked for murder under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
