Broadcaster Afolabi Peters Murphy, host of the radio show Obiri Laye, has commented on the recent passing of gospel singer Bunmi Akinnaanu, popularly known as Omije Ojumi, cautioning fans about the potential consequences of ignoring prophetic warnings.
Following Omije Ojumi’s death, several old prophecies allegedly related to her passing resurfaced online, sparking a mix of reactions from fans and social media users.
In a viral video, Murphy reflected on the broader pattern of public figures facing consequences after disregarding prophetic messages. He cited examples including:
- Samuel Oshoffa, founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, who reportedly ignored a warning about traveling and later died in a car accident.
- Gospel singer Aduke Gold, who passed away in 2024 after battling illness.
- Gospel artiste Egbin Orun, who died in 2025.
According to Murphy, each of these individuals had received prophetic cautions that were allegedly not acted upon.
He emphasized the importance of taking such warnings seriously rather than dismissing them, advising people to pray, reflect, and seek guidance when confronted with negative prophecies, even if the source is uncertain.
The Instagram video has sparked widespread discussion, with fans offering prayers for the deceased and sharing personal beliefs about spiritual awareness and protection.
