Mercy Johnson Withdraws Defamation Case, Warns Bloggers to Leave Her Family Alone

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie has officially withdrawn her defamation charges against TikToker Eedie Bliss, a decision made jointly with her husband, Prince Okojie. Despite dropping the case, Mercy issued a stern warning to faceless blogs and individuals spreading false information about her and her family.

In a video recorded on Monday, January 19, the mother of four explained that she withdrew the case out of love and respect for those who reached out to her. However, she emphasized that she would continue to pursue legal action against anyone else making unverified allegations.

“Thank you for the love, but it will no longer be business as usual. Some people wouldn’t leave my family alone. Court cases are going to be a part of this year because lies and propaganda cannot break what I have built,” Mercy said.

She also revealed that false narratives circulated online have negatively affected her children, with some being bullied at school due to rumors. Mercy accused some blogs of being owned or influenced by actresses or individuals with personal grudges, warning them to stop targeting her family.

“It is fine if you don’t know these faceless blogs are paid. Actresses, colleagues, and people who don’t like you own these blogs. My kids are being bullied, and some parents refuse to let their children interact with them because of lies calling me a witch,” she added.

Mercy closed her statement with gratitude toward those who supported her, including online critic VeryDarkMan, and reiterated her demand for respect for her family’s privacy.

“For the love and respect we have for numerous individuals, we have decided to withdraw the charges against the lady in question. Please, you all should leave my family alone,” she wrote in a caption accompanying the video.
