Edo State Deputy Governor Hon. Dennis Idahosa has affirmed that attempts by certain individuals to create a rift between him and Governor Monday Okpebholo will not succeed.

In a signed statement, Idahosa urged those spreading discord to focus their energy on supporting the SHINE Agenda, noting that efforts to undermine the administration’s cohesion are “dead on arrival.” He described the sources of online narratives as distractors uncomfortable with the practical governance demonstrated since the current administration took office.

Idahosa reiterated his loyalty to Governor Okpebholo, emphasizing that as long as they remain united, any attempts to weaken the team or create internal conflict will fail. He also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to delivering on campaign promises despite smear campaigns targeting government officials.

“As long as my boss, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and I remain united, every such plan is bound to fail,” Idahosa said, stressing that the government remains focused on fulfilling its promises to the people of Edo State.
