Police Rescue Kidnap Victim, Arrest Two Suspects in Kwara Forest

The Kwara State Police Command has successfully rescued a kidnap victim, Haruna Ahamadu, from a forest in the Omu-Aran area of Irepodun Local Government.

According to a statement released on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire Adeyemi, the rescue was executed by a combined team of police operatives and local vigilantes who acted on credible intelligence.

The operation also led to the arrest of two suspects: Ayisa Ibrahim (female) and Yakubu Hassan (male). The police confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend other members of the kidnapping gang who are currently at large.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, commended the officers and vigilantes for their professionalism and dedication. He reassured the public of the command’s unwavering commitment to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring the safety of all residents in the state.

CP Ojo added that investigations into the kidnapping are progressing steadily, with promising leads already being pursued.
